About the role
Tailglow makes it easy to ask strange and wonderful questions of data. This role is about asking them, and telling the world the answers.
You are half analyst, half journalist. You use Tailglow to find genuinely interesting metrics and turn them into stories people want to share. Think: what percentage of a comedian’s set the audience is actually laughing, or how a city breathes over the course of a day. The kind of thing that makes someone stop scrolling.
What you’ll do
- Dream up questions worth answering, then use Tailglow to answer them.
- Turn data into clear, surprising, shareable stories: posts, visuals, threads, and reports.
- Build a voice for Tailglow that shows what the product can do by doing it.
- Find the datasets and topics that will resonate, and chase them.
What we’re looking for
- Strong data instincts: you can find the signal and know when a number is genuinely interesting.
- Strong writing: you can take a finding and make it land for a general audience.
- A portfolio of work where you turned data into something people read or shared.
- Comfort being scrappy and self-directed.
Nice to have
- Experience in data journalism, growth, or content that drove real reach.
- Comfort with SQL or analytics tools (we’ll teach you Tailglow).
